Anna Bay

Anna Bay is the name of a suburb, a town, and a bay in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia's Port Stephens local government area. The suburb and town are directly adjacent to Stockton Beach's north-eastern end, and provide one of the beach's main entry points at Birubi Point.
Stockton Beach was heavily fortified during World War II to avoid an amphibious attack by Imperial Japanese forces, and a line of tank traps was established to prevent entry into the local area via the town. After the war, many of the tank traps were cleared, but they are still prominent around the car parking areas at Birubi Point.
