Aberdare

Aberdare is a suburb of Cessnock, a large town in the Lower Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, founded on coal mining. Aberdare is a small suburb located 15 minutes from wine country, 45 minutes from Newcastle, and two hours from Sydney. The land boom of 1903-23 was fueled by coal mining, and by 1926 Cessnock had a population of 12,000 people within a one-mile radius.
